Single, Not Lonely

So, this video is doing the rounds on the internet:
Oh dear. (You can watch the rest of the videos on the Twitter page this video comes from)

Seeing stuff like this makes me wonder how people like that even manage to get into relationships in the first place. It also confirms that avoiding relationships seems like a wise move on my part; people are just too freakin’ horrible to each other, man.

The Life Of An Online Blogger/Marketer

When you start running Google Adverts on your site (which is now a very strict, regulated process - most get rejected unless Google are sure you're serious about it), that’s the moment where blogging goes from "hobby" to "profession".

Sure, it may take a while before it’s lucrative (if it ever is). But when you’re on the same affiliate network as major internet stars that are making a killing, you see the potential there. And it’s encouraging when all this is happening when you only bought your domain name four months ago.

5 Reasons Why Beyonce Annoys Me

Just when I start to like Beyonce again…this happens:

And it’s not just me who noticed Beyonce throwing an unbelievable amount of shade at Kim/North.

Funny, she doesn't seem too fond of "Beautiful Princess North" (or indeed, North's mother), in these pics - body language speaks volumes!

13 Signs You're A Basic Brown B*tch

I am such a troll *evil laugh*

1) You regularly update social media with snaps of your mid-range designer purchases

A bit of a shopper myself, there's nothing more humorous than knowing just how much a girl has spent on a particularly bland or ugly af accessory. Clearly the designer label can leave some blind to good taste.

They all seem to own a Michael Kors handbag too, which is slightly annoying as I can now no longer wear the Michael Kors watch I bought years ago, long before the brand became a mainstream High Street chain, and now a staple for every basic Indian/Pakistani/Bengali girl in the UK.

Thanks basic bishes for ruining a classic brand the way chavs ruined Burberry.

Men Who Don't Change...And Why That's Comforting

I was quite upset when my last relationship ended. Many months later, believe me when I tell you I am so grateful to be out of that relationship; so much so that after months of no contact, when he did get in touch again randomly, I thanked him for the extended period of no contact and suggested it continues.

If he bothers to get in touch again (and I doubt he will), it will be difficult as he is well and truly blocked on every possible avenue for him to try and contact me on.

It’s weird to think of a time where, post-breakup, it would have made my day if I heard from him.

I guess with enough time passing it’s allowed me to see things clearly; you see, I interpreted the breakup as me not being good enough from him…when in reality, he wasn’t good enough for me.

The Internet Trail Left By Deceased Men Who Had Issues With Women

Wilkes McDermid, a noted food blogger who reviewed various eateries and nightlife spots around London, was sadly in the news yesterday after falling to his death from the rooftop of a London restaurant.

I’m going to try and be as sensitive as possible when discussing this.

Wilkes's food blog, which had a sizeable following
It’s odd how the various news articles don’t outwardly say he jumped to his death voluntarily…instead saying that he "fell". But the fact that Wilkes last post was entitled "Final Message" and enclosed details of a "Final Meal" leaves little doubt that he intended to take his own life.

The post was shared on social networking site Twitter, which prompted concerned friends to call the police, but unfortunately it was too late.

Two things about this sad story struck me:

1) He was a Blogger so posthumously, he leaves behind an online presence - I can’t be the only one who finds this new phenomenon of an internet footprint of the deceased strange and morbid?

How To Prevent Your Laptop From Overheating

replace-battery-sign
So, I had a few technical issue with my laptop recently (hence the delay in posting regular blogs). Basically, I would switch on my laptop, it would start to boot, lights would come on, fans start up…and nothing. Just a plain black screen.

The annoying thing is, sometimes the laptop would start up fine especially if I left it overnight. But if I were to shut it down and then later restart it, the same black-screen-of-nothing would appear.

This coincidentally happened when I got the warning sign saying my battery may need replacing…and when the electric heater in my room conked out.

The Ballad of Katy Perry and Russell Brand

There was already a lot of media attention focused on Katy Perry, who was headlining the halftime show for the much-loved/hyped Super Bowl game. So she probably didn’t need the additional media interest that came when ex-husband Russell Brand tweeted the following:

It seems even celebs can’t resist reaching out to an ex occasionally, especially on social media.
